A New Perspective on Social Media Marketing
Throughout this semester, reading the textbook Essentials of Social Media Marketing and writing weekly blogs helped me develop a stronger understanding of how social media operates beyond everyday use. At the beginning of the semester, I viewed social media primarily as a way to stay connected with friends and family or for entertainment. However, each chapter and blog assignment challenged me to think about these platforms from a more professional and strategic perspective. Several chapters stood out as I worked through the book. The chapters focused on individual platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Pinterest, helped highlight how each platform serves a different purpose.
